Great thanks to Charlie Newell for talking to our students on Veterans Day. Charlie served in Vietnam in the Marine Corps from 1970-71 and taught at Gould for 29 years. He is quite a man. His son, Alec, is a Gould alumnus and current faculty member. This is a proud lineage. I felt very privileged to watch Alec introduce his father.
Charlie also shared this video of Billy Joel’s Goodnight Saigon. It gets me every time.
